Google x YouTube — Helping Parents Feel in Control Again

Overview

I collaborated with YouTube Creative Studio to animate a global safety campaign focused on helping parents and kids navigate online spaces more confidently.

The goal was to bring Tim Lahan’s illustrations to life in a way that felt light, human, and universally clear, translating safety tools into approachable moments. Working alongside a talented and passionate team at YouTube Creative Studio, I created a wide range of animated assets: short loops, 15- and 30-second films, digital billboards, and dynamic OOH displays that brought the message to both physical and digital spaces.


The campaign launched in the UK and quickly expanded to the US, Canada, France, India, and beyond, promoting tools like Family Link and SafeSearch across languages, cultures, and formats. Whether on a parent’s feed or a train station screen, the message had to be immediate and emotionally intuitive.


It was a chance to animate with purpose: shaping how millions of families understood safety, control, and trust on YouTube.
