Motiontober 2021 — 31 Days of Animation
Client: Personal Project
Tools: After Effects, Illustrator
Overview
In October 2021, I set a personal challenge to create one character animation every day for 31 days. Each walk cycle explored a different mood, rhythm, or personality.
What started as a simple experiment eventually gained momentum. The project reached over 6 million organic views and more than 150,000 likes across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Xiaohongshu.
It sparked conversations across the animation community, led to client opportunities, and unexpectedly went viral years later, reigniting attention and introducing the project to new audiences globally.
Each animation was crafted from scratch within a day, from concept to final loop. The project pushed my creative instincts, sharpened my storytelling, and reminded me how much can be said with just a few frames of motion.
This wasn’t just a challenge, it became a turning point in my career and a foundation for Loop Parade, an evolving animated universe.
